News Release June 19, 2017 Projects Include 460 New Licensed Child Care Spaces Ontario is investing in new and renovated schools across the province to provide students with the best possible learning environments, and improve access to high-quality, licensed child care for families. Education Minister Mitzie Hunter was joined by MPP Ted McMeekin at Glen Brae Elementary School in Hamilton today to announce 38 new capital projects in schools across the province to build modern learning environments and improve programming opportunities for students. This investment in students across Ontario includes: - 10 new schools
- 28 renovations and additions
- A combined total of 460 new licensed child care spaces for young children and their families.
These projects are part of the largest infrastructure investment in schools, hospitals, public transit, roads and bridges in Ontario's history.
