UJA Federation, TanenbaumCHAT Announce Groundbreaking Tuition Reduction

UJA Federation of Greater Toronto unveiled a $15-million fund that will be used to slash tuition at the Jewish high school TanenbaumCHAT by one-third for the next five years, dropping tuition from close to $28,000 to $18,500 next year and keeping it under $19,000 for the next five years.

UJA Federation's advocacy agent, CIJA, responds to bomb threat at Miles Nadal JCC

Police sweeps of the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre (MNJCC) at Bloor Street and Spadina Avenue in Toronto and the JCC in London, Ont., turned up no threatening devices. The London JCC was evacuated for about 90 minutes and the Toronto JCC was evacuated for about two hours.

100 Days of Fitness!

In honour of UJA Federation's Centennial, UJA and its Jewish Community Centres (JCC) have launched a 100 Days of Fitness promotion. Every JCC member who visits a JCC fitness centre 100 times between January 2nd and September 1st will win a 100 Days of Fitness water bottle and be entered into draws for great prizes. 
The first draw was held today for anyone that visited a Centre 15 times or more in February. Pictured is Jeff Springer, SVP for Corporate Affairs and Cathy Kenopic, manager of Prosserman Fitness picking the winner of Raptors tickets. Mazel Tov to Andrew Bolton, a member of the Schwartz/Reisman Centre.

Tamara and Mietek Weinreich hosted annual Purim celebrations at their home with lavish décor courtesy of Tamara Weinrech. Later the couple monetized the success of these events to raise funds for the Anne Frank Foundation.
